Stephenson Sheppard & Co switches to IRIS Accountancy Suite and improves business efficiencies and client service levels

Stephenson Sheppard & Co, a traditional accountancy firm with two offices and 14 staff serving largely small, family-run businesses, was struggling with inefficiency and duplicated work caused by multiple, non‑integrated software packages. After an unsuccessful 2008 move to a competing supplier, the firm sought an integrated solution and selected IRIS Software Group’s IRIS Accountancy Suite to centralise client data and reduce routine administration.

IRIS Software Group completed a smooth transition to the IRIS Accountancy Suite (including Accounts Production, Personal Tax, Business Tax, Practice Management and AutoMail) by April 2009, delivering regular legislative updates and early iXBRL readiness. The integrated system eliminated duplicate data entry, removed the need for temporary part‑time admin, freed staff to focus on higher‑value client work, and materially improved margins and profitability—allowing Stephenson Sheppard & Co to take on additional business without adding headcount.
