McCabe Ford Williams, a Kent‑based firm of tax advisers, licensed insolvency practitioners and chartered accountants with six offices, needed to improve collaboration and document retention after merging their Sittingbourne and Maidstone IRIS databases. As long‑time users of IRIS Accountancy Suite, they selected IRIS Software Group’s IRIS OpenDocs integrated document management to provide a seamless, familiar way to centralise correspondence and client records.

IRIS Software Group implemented IRIS OpenDocs in January 2011, providing training and two‑way integration with IRIS Practice Management so letters, accounts and emails (with attachments) are filed automatically. The firm—about fifty users across the two offices—now enjoys faster retrieval, improved email retention and consistent recordkeeping, reduced paper storage and freed office space, and lower overheads, all of which have saved time and supported more responsive client service.
