Birchwood Group - Customer Case Study

Birchwood Group, an Eastbourne-based car dealership, needed a more user-friendly payroll system to handle 170 employees and prepare for Real Time Information (RTI) changes. Their existing Kerridge payroll software was too restrictive, made historical data difficult to access, and created extra admin work each month.

IRIS Software Group implemented Earnie, which Birchwood found easy to use and quick to transition to. The new system saved time by linking directly to their DMS and cutting about 15 minutes per record on leavers, while also reducing printing and paper costs. Birchwood said RTI preparation was smooth, HMRC downloads were seamless, and the system made it easier to split and report employee costs accurately.
