An HR system as flexible as their workforce

St Peter & St James Hospice, which provides specialist care in Sussex and employs 155 staff plus 400 volunteers, struggled with complex, highly flexible working patterns and relied on spreadsheets and a limited applicant tracking system. To modernise HR and recruitment the Hospice partnered with IRIS Software Group and adopted IRIS Cascade HRi alongside IRIS Networx.

IRIS Software Group implemented IRIS Cascade HRi to centralise HR records (adding fields such as pro‑rata salary and contractual hours) and integrated IRIS Networx to provide a secure, personalised onboarding portal with real‑time reporting. The combined solution gave the Hospice back oversight and control of people processes, streamlined recruitment and onboarding, and reduced time spent on recruitment while future‑proofing HR for their 155 employees and 400 volunteers.
