Texas A&M University needed a more effective way to communicate with thousands of on‑campus student housing residents across two apartment complexes, 12 cadet dorms, and 25 residence halls. To solve this, they engaged IRIO to modernize resident outreach and reduce reliance on slower or less effective channels.
IRIO worked with Residence Life and Texas A&M’s Student Housing Software to build a custom API integrating resident data with IRIO’s TextCommunity. After launching texting during move‑in for 2017–2018, SMS/MMS became the primary communication channel—90% of texts are read within three minutes and texting is the #1 preferred platform among students.
