Eutelsat, an innovative commercial satellite operator, faced the challenge of quickly launching a complex, white-label pay-TV and OTT platform for its customers that could meet stringent content security requirements and support low-cost business models in emerging markets. To build its Eutelsat CIRRUS platform, Eutelsat partnered with vendor Irdeto to provide a compliant and future-proof Conditional Access (CA) solution.

Irdeto implemented its Cloaked CA system and CA Managed Services, which handled the technical and operational complexities of content security on behalf of Eutelsat. This “Eutelsat hosts, Irdeto manages” approach allowed Eutelsat to focus on its core business. The results included a highly efficient platform capable of supporting a wide range of business models and devices, high customer satisfaction, and a cost-effective, flexible partnership that facilitated Eutelsat's expansion into new markets.
