The Sofia Hotel, a 217-room boutique property in San Diego’s Gaslamp Quarter, needed to modernize guest services and distribution to compete with much larger chains while preserving its historic, high‑touch brand. To meet that challenge it turned to IQware, deploying IQware PMS along with Rez (booking engine) and IQware’s email system to support reservations, CRM and back‑office operations.
IQware implemented an integrated solution (PMS, web reservations, GDS/WebRes/Expedia connectivity and automated email marketing) that centralized inventory and rates, enabled real‑time bookings and personalized guest communications, and supported online merchandising. As a result, The Sofia Hotel achieved significantly improved revenue per room, stronger guest loyalty and ongoing monthly growth, while IQware’s real‑time reporting and 24/7 support kept operations smooth and staff training simple.
