Case Study: DHL reduces Oracle license costs with iQuate

A iQuate Case Study

Preview of the DHL Case Study

DHL - Customer Case Study

DHL, the world’s largest logistics company, needed better visibility into its Oracle license position after previous third-party discovery tools failed to collect accurate data and a manual audit proved too costly. iQuate was brought in to help DHL challenge Oracle’s view of its licensing status and prepare for support and renewal negotiations, using its iQSonar discovery and inventory solution.

iQuate deployed iQSonar across more than 10,000 servers and produced a baseline report that Oracle accepted, helping DHL identify previously unknown servers and significantly reduce projected Oracle license and support costs, with an ROI of just two months. The solution also mitigated future license risk across Oracle, Microsoft, and IBM, supported CMDB and change-management validation, and was later expanded into broader server-side SAM across additional products and subsidiaries.
