Create and maintain outside plant and splicing designs of fiber network

ExteNet Systems, a United States communication infrastructure and services provider, needed a better way to maintain a comprehensive list of assets across its fiber network and manage outside plant splicing designs as part of its construction process. The company wanted a software solution that would integrate with existing systems, be easy to use, reduce the number of applications in use, and support access anytime from anywhere, online or offline. IQGeo provided the geospatial software used to support these network planning and design needs.

With IQGeo’s platform, ExteNet Systems created a single environment that users could access on desktop or mobile without local servers, while also making configuration changes much easier. The team can now build locate field picklists to identify routes they were not responsible for, reducing locator costs, and update multiple records at once when routes share the same third-party owner. IQGeo also enabled faster data corrections on desktop and mobile, improving field productivity, saving time and resources, and boosting network data quality.
