Beginning the journey from legacy GIS with wildfire monitoring

NorthRiver Midstream, a Canadian gas gathering and processing business with 13 natural gas processing facilities in Alberta and British Columbia, needed a better way to improve wildfire monitoring and expose high-value network information to more users. Working with IQGeo, they wanted software with web and mobile capabilities, a modern intuitive interface, and the ability to customize and deploy quickly to field teams.

IQGeo implemented an intuitive geospatial application that let users query and view critical asset data on desktop and phone, especially for remote field teams. The solution enabled wildfire monitoring by allowing users to search by fire status, proximity, and cause, delivering immediate business value and leading to rollout of additional IQGeo applications for other emergency response use cases.
