MDU Resources worked with IQGeo to address corrosion inspection complexity across its gas network in eight states. The company had been using three different corrosion inspection procedures, which created inefficiencies and internal challenges for its Integrity Management team. IQGeo’s Inspection & Survey software was used to support the effort.

IQGeo helped MDU Resources create a single, easy-to-use corrosion inspection solution for field teams using tablets and mobile phones. With dynamic forms, inspectors could access job-specific information and capture results in the field, and the data was automatically fed back into Maximo for analysis and follow-up inspections. The result was a more unified process with better-integrated, more accurate inspection data.
