The New Brunswick Parking Authority (NBPA) faced growing daytime demand, failing mechanical meters, frequent coin jams, and enforcement challenges that made revenue reconciliation and system visibility difficult. To modernize parking management and improve customer experience, NBPA selected IPS Group, Inc. to deploy IPS smart meters and the IPS Data Management System (DMS).
IPS Group, Inc. retrofitted over 900 meters in two days and delivered real-time data, revenue reconciliation tools, and support for dynamic (progressive) pricing and enforcement verification. As a result, NBPA saw a 29% revenue increase, credit card payments rise to 55% of total revenue, about $50,000 in annual operational savings, and meter uptime above 98%.
