iProov wins US Department of Homeland Security contract

The U.S. Department of Homeland Security worked with iProov to improve the passenger entry process for U.S. Customs and Border Protection, especially at unmanned ports of entry. The challenge was to quickly and securely verify the identity of a growing number of travelers while reducing processing time and preventing fraud.

iProov implemented its Flashmark facial biometric verification technology in a secure, cloud-based mobile solution that lets travelers self-verify against pre-registered photos before arriving at the border. The result is a faster, more secure, spoof-resilient document check that helps CBP process travelers more efficiently, with the case study noting the U.S. handles over 112 million arrivals annually and more than 1 million border attempts per day.
