iPoint Systems collaborated with MultiMak, a company developing automotive components, to address the challenge of creating ecologically optimized multi-material parts for mass production. The project required advanced assessment tools to evaluate the environmental impact of these new manufacturing technologies.

The solution from iPoint Systems involved the design and development of specialized assessment tools, contributing to the research campus that formed the basis for a Life Cycle Design Lab. For this lab, iPoint provided its Life Cycle Assessment (LCA) software. The multi-partner project, which was funded by the German Federal Ministry of Education and Research (BMBF), successfully established a foundation for developing and evaluating economical and multifunctional lightweight automotive components.
