Life Cycle Technologies (LCT) was engaged in a project to develop new methods for designing multi-material components, with a specific challenge of holistically assessing the technical, economic, and ecological impacts, particularly focusing on end-of-life options through condition monitoring. To support this research and development initiative, they partnered with vendor iPoint Systems.

iPoint implemented a solution that featured intelligent automated data selection for LCA models and built a powerful interface for the dynamic modeling of production processes. Utilizing iPoint Product Sustainability and Umberto applications, iPoint automated scenario calculations and enabled the assessment of environmental aspects, with all data being stored in a database. This provided LCT with the sophisticated tools needed to advance their research into sustainable hybrid structures.
