KoLibri, a collaborative research project, was faced with the challenge of developing new, mass-reduced, and sustainable lightweight structures for power electronics modules in the mobility sector. The project required designing resource-efficient prototypes for heat sinks while considering their entire life cycle, necessitating robust life cycle assessment capabilities.

To address this, iPoint prepared life cycle assessments for the various prototype demonstrators using their expertise and software. Furthermore, iPoint developed a specialized interface that enables engineers to access critical environmental data directly within their CAD software during the early stages of product development, allowing for more sustainable design choices from the outset.
