iCareplast - Customer Case Study

iCareplast is a project with the goal of developing a cost- and energy-efficient chemical recycling process for non-recyclable plastics from municipal waste. To validate the environmental benefit of its new pilot plant, the project engaged vendor iPoint Systems to help assess its environmental impact.

iPoint Systems implemented its Umberto LCA software and iPoint Product Sustainability web application to conduct this assessment. As part of the solution, iPoint developed interfaces to machine and energy monitoring systems to enable a dynamic, real-time Life Cycle Assessment (LCA) based on live operational data from the pilot plant.
