Emirates Airline Makes iPass its master connection manager

Emirates Airline, the Dubai-based global carrier, needed a simpler and more secure way for its 1,400 non-flying mobile employees to connect to email and corporate applications while traveling worldwide. The airline also wanted to control mobility costs and integrate remote access with its existing security infrastructure. iPass Inc. was selected to provide a master connection manager and mobile connectivity solution.

iPass Inc. implemented iPass as Emirates Airline’s master connection manager for campus Wi‑Fi and the iPass Mobile Network, giving employees simple, reliable access to global Wi‑Fi. The solution improved visibility into mobile usage, strengthened mobility management, and helped reduce Wi‑Fi subscription and 3G roaming expense claims. As a result, Emirates gained tighter control over enterprise mobility costs while keeping employees productive wherever they traveled.
