Virtual Technologies and Solutions launches a 200Gbps, 200km fiber link with IP Infusion

Virtual Technologies and Solutions (VTS), an internet service provider in Burkina Faso, needed to extend network capacity from major submarine cables to link two of its cities. The challenge was to add a high-capacity fiber link while controlling costs and avoiding lock-in with a single-vendor solution. They selected IP Infusion's OcNOS network operating system to meet this need.

IP Infusion provided the OcNOS software that powered a disaggregated Cassini hardware platform. This solution enabled VTS to deploy a 200Gbps, 200km fiber link, which was the first commercial deployment of its kind in Africa. The outcome was faster and more reliable connectivity for customers. Additionally, OcNOS provided centralized management that gave VTS a path to network automation, making service provisioning and configuration changes faster than before.
