Exatel builds 100G and 400G SDN platform with IP Infusion

Exatel, Poland's second-largest optical fiber operator, faced the challenge of building a flexible, scalable networking platform to deliver tailored services without being locked into a single hardware vendor. They partnered with IP Infusion to implement its OcNOS SP network operating system as a foundation for their new software-defined infrastructure.

IP Infusion's solution used OcNOS SP on white-box hardware to create a platform with 100G and 400G links. This allowed Exatel to compose services at the network edge, which significantly reduced their time to market, tightened security for customers, and provided a cost-effective, scalable design that avoided vendor lock-in through support for Open ZR+ optics.
