A IOpipe Case Study
Matson, a Honolulu-based logistics carrier, needed real-time observability for a new serverless mobile application used for global container tracking. Its existing monitoring tools couldn’t provide the serverless-specific visibility required, and security issues from frequent attempted DDoS attacks made it difficult to identify and analyze legitimate activity. Matson turned to IOpipe for serverless monitoring and tracing.
IOpipe provided real-time serverless observability, including tracing every Lambda call to external APIs, alerts, dashboards, and search capabilities to quickly isolate malicious requests. With IOpipe, Matson successfully launched its serverless mobile app, gained confidence to migrate additional legacy Java workloads, and adopted a serverless-first approach for new development.
