A Ionic Case Study
T-Mobile’s Human Resources team needed a way to make its existing Clips content platform feel more native on mobile, especially for podcast-style audio. The small team had never built a mobile app before, but they needed something that could hook into Clips, work with React, and support a better listening experience than a SharePoint-hosted solution.
Using Ionic’s hybrid app development solution, including Ionic Native Solutions such as the cross-platform SDK, Secure Storage, Identity Vault, and Auth Connect, T-Mobile built T-Mobile Cast with support from Ionic training and ongoing reviews. The result was a mobile-first app that can play, download, rate, and share episodes, while also surfacing video content from Clips; however, the case study notes that the app’s rollout was delayed by internal compliance processes, so no adoption or performance metrics were available.
