Orka, a Swiss trading firm active in biofuels and increasingly in metals, was struggling with an error‑prone, spreadsheet‑based trade and risk process that lacked credibility with banks and counterparties and did not provide full lifecycle visibility of deals, tonnage pricing by counterparty or LME hedges. ION Aspect delivered AspectCTRM as a SaaS solution, fully deployed in about one week with users up to speed after a week of training. The platform gave real‑time visibility of positions and LME hedges, eliminated spreadsheet risk, and was quickly expanded from biofuels to include metals trading.
