Rapid expansion drives full suite of technology solutions at Goshawk

Goshawk Aviation Limited, a Dublin‑based aircraft leasing company, needed to build a flexible, scalable technology platform to support treasury, accounting, banking and contract management as it spun out from Investec and rapidly expanded. With a tight timeline, a small project team, the need to transition operations from Investec, and the KYC/account openings for 110 entities and 250+ accounts, Goshawk engaged ION to deliver its treasury management (TMS/IT2) capability to underpin the new platform.

ION implemented an integrated TMS/IT2 solution with host‑to‑host bank connectivity (SWIFT MT940 and XML camt.053), a dedicated payroll connection, Bloomberg rate feeds into the TMS, and automated interfaces between Leasepoint and SunSystems. The deployment—completed in under 12 months—gave Goshawk real‑time account visibility, removed manual import work, enabled cross‑currency processing via CitiDirect, and supported growth to a 112‑aircraft portfolio (60 added in two years) handling more than US$45m in monthly cash flows while enabling major financings (US$345m RCF, US$231m USPP, US$95m Schuldschein).
