Infogroup, a provider of marketing solutions and large consumer and business databases, needed a way to create, manage and test landing pages across multiple brands and segments to improve conversions. With a customer base of about 4 million and no scalable testing capability, opportunities for optimization were limited.
In February 2009 Infogroup adopted the ion platform, enabling marketer Nicole Bukacek to build and test 500+ tailored landing pages, including keyword-specific experiences that improved Google quality scores. A/B testing quickly identified high-performing pages, driving conversion rates from about 3% to a consistent 15–17% (with peaks near 20%) and increasing registrations by over 50%; Infogroup plans to continue expanding the program.
