Preview of the Euronews Case Study

Euronews Coverage of the Scotland Referendum

Euronews, Europe’s most-watched news channel, needed to deliver dynamic, accessible coverage of the 2014 Scotland independence referendum in multiple languages and expand its reach beyond regular viewers to cement its reputation as a pan‑European thought leader.

Using the Rock Content (formerly ScribbleLive) platform, Euronews produced live, multimedia coverage in English, French, Spanish, and Italian with teams on the ground and in Lyon, then syndicating the feed via the Rock Content Market to 15 news organizations across three continents. The approach drove strong engagement — English pages averaged 17 minutes on page (12 minutes for other languages), unique viewers increased up to 3,395%, and time on page rose 2,313% — successfully growing audience reach and strengthening Euronews’ voice in European reporting.
