HMS Sees Big Results with iOFFICE's Comprehensive IWMS

HMS, a healthcare-services firm with decades of experience and a large national footprint (headquartered in Irving, TX with roughly 465,000 sq ft of space), was running facilities management reactively on 11x17 paper floorplans and Excel spreadsheets across decentralized sites. That inefficient approach made it difficult to track seats, coordinate moves, or respond quickly to disruptions — a problem that came into sharp relief during Superstorm Sandy.

In 2013 HMS implemented iOFFICE’s IWMS — connecting space and move management to HR, deploying mobile service-request tools, and adding mail and print tracking — which let one team manage multiple sites, sped work-order response, improved reporting and cross‑department coordination (FM/HR/IT), and enabled cost-saving space consolidations. HMS now plans to expand use to room reservations and hot‑desking to further boost utilization and support mobile workers.
