Carousel Industries, a national systems integrator and managed services provider based in Exeter, RI, runs a 300-person extended sales organization and traditionally held an annual multi-day sales kick-off. Faced with a 2013 mandate to cut meeting expenses while preserving the event’s educational and collaborative value, VP of Marketing Kelly Harman evaluated alternatives and chose to move the kick-off online.
Using INXPO’s platform, Carousel ran a three-day, half-day online sales conference with live keynotes from its studio, 19 pre-recorded breakout sessions, a partner exhibit hall and metrics to track on-demand viewing. The event drew 409 registrants/attendees (100% attendance), 40 presentations and 3,370 presentation views, earned strong participant and partner feedback, and delivered an 86% reduction in conference costs; the virtual content was also repurposed for companywide access, onboarding, and a planned Social Business TV channel.
