Mindarie Regional Council (MRC), Western Australia’s largest Waste Management Authority, manages disposal of over 250,000 tonnes of waste from seven local government areas and employs 40+ people. MRC relied on spreadsheets, forms and manual processes that made it hard to track tasks, report events, escalate issues and maintain compliance. In 2010 they engaged INX Software and selected INX InControl and INX InTuition (with training, implementation and INX Cloud hosting) to find an affordable, flexible, easy-to-use system that could meet government and ISO 14001 requirements.

INX Software implemented INX InControl and INX InTuition to centralise safety, risk, training and compliance workflows, adding scheduling, action management, checklists and audit/governance features. The solution now supports management of over 400 environmental and safety events, delivers time savings through automation, improved visibility and behavioural accountability, reduced job-related stress, simplified reporting (hotspot and root-cause analysis) and easier transfer of event ownership to new starters.
