The Department for Work and Pensions (DWP), a major UK government department, faced the immense challenge of processing a sudden 10-fold increase in Universal Credit claims at the start of the COVID-19 pandemic. They urgently needed to onboard and train thousands of staff from other government departments to handle the unprecedented volume. To meet this need, they utilized the Invotra Extranet Portal and its integrated authentication service, Invotra Auth.

Using Invotra's solution, DWP rapidly provided controlled, secure access to training, news, and policies for over 3,000 colleagues from more than 10 other government departments. This allowed DWP to successfully process the massive influx of new claimants, ensuring employees had the critical tools and information needed to serve the public efficiently during the crisis.
