The customer, Carpenter Media Group, acquired many local newspapers using the legacy BLOX CMS, which exports content in NITF format. They needed to migrate this complex, XML-based data to WordPress but found no existing comprehensive solution. They partnered with the vendor, Inverse Paradox, for a custom migration service.

Inverse Paradox developed a custom WordPress plugin to automate the bulk import of NITF archives and media into WordPress, including multisite support. The solution successfully migrated pioneer sites containing hundreds of thousands of articles. Carpenter Media Group then independently migrated over 30 sites in under four months, processing terabytes of data and tens of millions of files dramatically faster than with previous methods.
