Roadfans, Germany’s first automated round-trip campervan sharing service, wanted to make campervan rentals as flexible and seamless as possible. Founded in 2017, the company needed to overcome industry limitations such as long minimum rental periods, mandatory training courses, fixed return times, and the lack of spontaneous bookings. INVERS provided the telematics and connectivity solution CloudBoxx to support this goal.

With INVERS’ CloudBoxx, Roadfans enabled real-time availability display, bookings in under 2 minutes, full automation of pick-up and drop-off, and keyless vehicle access through the Roadfans app. The solution also included an immobilizer for theft protection and was implemented quickly with INVERS’ installation guidance, helping Roadfans scale to 500 campervans across 8 stations in Germany while delivering a faster, fully digital customer experience.
