Case Study: Texas A&M University brings Aggie Muster virtual with Inventive

A Inventive Case Study

Preview of the Texas A&M University Case Study

Timeless Tradition Goes Virtual During COVID-19

Texas A&M University needed to preserve its long-running Aggie Muster tradition during COVID-19, when stay-at-home orders and social distancing made the annual in-person ceremony impossible. Inventive was brought in just three weeks before the April 21 event to help Texas A&M move the experience to a digital platform with a scalable virtual event website.

Inventive built and load-tested a custom event site featuring a live stream of the campus ceremony, an interactive “Here” roll call, a world map of participants, reflections, campus exploration, and donations. The platform processed more than 4 million messages during testing, handled 2,500 requests per second across 100+ servers, and supported the live event without interruption for 24 hours, reaching 50,000 unique users, 14,000 registrations, 907 reflections, and 15,573 “Here’s.”
