Cross Head Co., Ltd., distributor of Inuvika OVD Enterprise in Japan, helped secure a selection of Inuvika OVD Enterprise as the virtualized application and desktop service for the municipality information security cloud called “Utility Cloud.” The challenge was to give regional municipalities secure, remote access to centralized web and mail applications while preventing information leakage from local terminals and meeting strict government data-protection requirements.

Inuvika’s OVD Enterprise was implemented to provide a secure external gateway and centralized app delivery so users get a local-like experience without transmitting actual application data to devices. The solution—deployed in production for multiple municipalities in Osaka, Nara and Shiga since April 2017—enabled safe access to central government information, reduced the risk of data leakage, and allowed Cross Head to offer secure network segmentation and managed services using Inuvika OVD Enterprise.
