CANADIAN HEALTH SYSTEMS DELIVER APPLICATIONS-AS-A-SERVICE TO MEDICAL CLINICS

Canadian Health Systems, an Ontario-based provider of EMR systems and practice management services, was struggling to deliver its EMR Advantage application-as-a-service over a Citrix environment that generated frequent support calls, password-management distractions, connectivity problems (including label printing), and escalating costs. Senior leadership asked the IT team to find a more affordable, stable solution that would let support focus on medical applications rather than the delivery platform.

After evaluating options, Canadian Health Systems selected Inuvika OVD Enterprise and worked with Inuvika’s pre-sales and engineering teams to pilot and roll out the platform using the Inuvika Enterprise Desktop Client, Enterprise Secure Gateway and Web client (with Premium USB Device Redirection). The result was an immediate and significant drop in support calls, improved stability and user productivity, simplified single-console management, resolution of printing/connectivity issues, and an estimated ~50% reduction in licensing and support costs compared with Citrix.
