Speck Pumps, Germany's leading swimming pool equipment manufacturer, faced the challenge of building a custom IoT platform to allow end users to remotely monitor and control their pool devices. They needed to overcome technical hurdles including multi-port controller management, cost-effective chip selection for OTA updates, and ensuring real-time multi-user access. Intuz was engaged to develop this full-stack solution.

Intuz delivered a comprehensive IoT platform, selecting the ESP32 WiFi chip and building firmware, cloud architecture on Azure, and web and mobile applications. The solution enabled real-time device control with multi-user access, dynamic support for multiple device models, and efficient OTA updates that minimized user disruption. This resulted in a GDPR-compliant system that significantly reduced Azure event costs and achieved near-zero downtime deployments, with updates causing only 4-5 seconds of interruption. The ongoing engagement has lasted over six years.
