Reducing Purchase Order Volatility to Stabilize Cash Flow

Guzzi Gioielli, an Italian luxury jewelry and watch retailer, was growing quickly across its three stores in Calabria and its ecommerce channel, but its purchasing model relied on large, infrequent orders that created cash flow volatility and limited financial flexibility. To better manage inventory investments during expansion, the company turned to Intuendi’s demand planning software.

With Intuendi, Guzzi Gioielli shifted to smaller, more frequent purchase orders using predictive forecasting, inventory analytics, and reorder timing visibility. The result was a 19.4% reduction in total purchase order value, a 36.4% reduction in peak purchasing levels, and a drop in monthly purchasing volatility from nearly 12x to 4x, helping stabilize cash flow and improve financial control.
