Kirkgate Centre boosts productions with £1,928 grant from Intro

The Kirkgate Centre, a community-led theatre and arts venue, faced the challenge of keeping up with technical advancements in performance due to financial constraints. They needed specific equipment to unlock the full potential of their newly upgraded lighting system. The vendor Intro, through its Community Fund provided by Fibrus, awarded them a grant to address this.

Intro's grant of £1,928 funded a MacBook and iPads, enabling the centre to run industry-standard sound and lighting software. This allowed for seamless control of cues from anywhere in the room. The immediate result was a significant technical upgrade for their productions, and the new equipment also helped attract a new generation of volunteers, particularly younger technicians interested in behind-the-scenes roles.
