GOWIN Semiconductor - Customer Case Study

GOWIN Semiconductor, a programmable logic device company, needed a way to help IoT OEMs secure device data and communications while also preventing counterfeiting and overproduction—without increasing BOM costs or reducing supply chain flexibility. To address these concerns, GOWIN worked with Intrinsic ID and its BK security library as part of the SecureFPGA offering.

Intrinsic ID’s BK-Pro software library powers GOWIN SecureFPGA with a hardware-based Root of Trust, creating an unclonable device identity from silicon fingerprinting and SRAM startup randomness. This enables authentication, encryption, secure key generation, signatures, and key agreement for edge and IoT applications. The result is stronger protection for devices, IP, and supply chains, while keeping security turnkey for OEMs and avoiding added OpEx or BOM impact.
