Child & Family Resources initiates new intranet project during pandemic

Child & Family Resources, Inc. (CFR) is a community‑based non‑profit serving about 45,000 Arizonans across 15 counties with 230 employees. CFR had been using a basic Microsoft Access-based intranet and, after becoming an Intranet Connections customer in May 2019, the COVID‑19 pandemic pushed the organization to prioritize a modern, user‑friendly, and customizable intranet to improve internal communications and document access.

Intranet Connections implemented its intranet software through the Tailored Experience, assigning a Communications Specialist and Customer Success Manager to guide CFR through governance, a phased rollout, homepage design, a centralized calendar, and document access. With IC’s hands‑on support (weekly meetings and a communication plan), CFR launched phase one at the end of November 2020 with about 90% of the planned content live and achieved a rapid 12‑week rollout versus a typical 52‑week timeline; phase two (forms) is underway to further centralize workflows.
