AUDI AG, the German automotive manufacturer behind the Audi PartnerNet (APN) distributor portal, needed to replace its existing search with a more intuitive solution that could deliver high-quality, complete results while respecting complex access rights. The old search often ranked outdated or less relevant content too highly, making it difficult for Audi partners to quickly find the information they needed. Audi selected IntraFind and its iFinder search platform to address these issues.

IntraFind implemented a new APN search experience with semantic search, auto-completion, role-based filtering, and a results layout tailored to Audi’s content structure, including highlighting and hierarchical grouping of related documents under main articles. The new search consistently returned expected documents among the top five results and improved usability, speed, and filter precision. In a follow-up user study, 74% of respondents reported satisfaction with Audi PartnerNet, and its search was rated best in the automotive extranet comparison for ease of use, filters, and results presentation.
