Red Hat, the enterprise software company behind the open hybrid cloud vision, needed to rapidly transform its annual Red Hat Summit from a planned in-person conference into a global virtual event due to the COVID-19 pandemic. Having worked with Intrado Healthcare’s digital media team for years on webcasts and virtual events, Red Hat sought a platform and expertise to broadcast the summit at scale, drive engagement, and humanize the brand through video content.

Intrado Healthcare provided the virtual event platform and support that enabled Red Hat to deliver more than 300 live and pre-recorded sessions, plus features like a welcome lobby video, awards, badging, and easy navigation. The result was Red Hat Summit’s biggest conference ever, with 82,009 total registrants, 56,063 unique attendees, and 321 unique sessions, leading Red Hat to plan virtual components for future events as well.
