Yasa - Customer Case Study

YASA is a British developer of high‑performance e‑motors (founded 2009) whose products are used across automotive and industrial markets and were selected for Ferrari’s SF90 Stradale. The company struggled with a fragmented toolchain—Excel spreadsheets, legacy platforms, MathWorks tools and Git—making traceability, formalized testing and compliance with ISO 26262 and Automotive SPICE difficult as the software team moved to Agile.

In 2018 YASA adopted codeBeamer ALM to unify requirements, task, software and release management, integrating with Git and supporting ASPICE/ISO 26262 needs. Around 70 users across two sites now use the platform, gaining end‑to‑end traceability and impact analysis, reduced manual work and errors, improved visibility and performance tracking, easier customer collaboration, and stronger readiness for audits while expanding the tool’s use into FMEA and hardware design.
