Modlin Education engaged Intetics to build a virtual learning environment that would operationalize Modlin’s adaptive algorithm for K–12 schools in South Africa. The challenge was to deliver a diagnostic assessment platform that runs on mobile and desktop devices, works on outdated hardware and slow internet, supports multiple user roles (administrators, teachers, content creators, students), and is highly usable for learners of all ages.

Intetics implemented a cross-platform (iOS/Android and Windows/Mac) diagnostic assessment app using machine learning and a metadata-exchange approach to enable offline use, minimize server interactions, and synchronize progress when connected. The solution delivers individualized learning paths and teacher reports, is in active use in schools, and has measurably boosted engagement — gamification increased student motivation by 80% — while improving learning efficiency through adaptive personalized instruction.
