A Intetics Case Study
Area9, a Danish provider of adaptive learning solutions for schools, colleges and universities in Europe and the US, needed to build a global distributed team to develop and support an expanding range of e‑learning products that rely on Area9’s proprietary functional programming language. Area9 engaged Intetics to recruit, educate and operate a dedicated distributed team and to set up a client‑tailored process for recruitment, training, skills and career development (Dedicated Teams service).
Intetics implemented a targeted labor‑market campaign and a three‑stage screening process, then ran a client‑designed training program (2–4 weeks with 10 graded test tasks and manager feedback) to onboard engineers in the functional paradigm and proprietary language. The Intetics approach shortened time‑to‑productivity to roughly 2–4 weeks per newcomer, allowed rapid scaling to meet aggressive roadmaps, and led to the creation of a Functional Programming Centre of Competence at Intetics; Intetics continues to operate and grow the Area9–Intetics distributed team.
