Intetics ODT customizes task management solution for Flowzone

Silicon Systems, maker of Flowmation (a combined Digital Asset Management and Project Management solution for the advertising, print and publishing sectors), needed to outsource further development and faced both organizational and technical challenges: this was their first offshore engagement, they had to transfer knowledge to off‑site developers, support frequent releases, migrate to a new web framework without disrupting delivery, improve the UI/usability, add project‑management features and simplify permissions, and replace a third‑party DAM (Extensis). After interviews, Silicon Systems selected Intetics and its Offshore Dedicated Team model to tackle the work.

Intetics assembled a six‑person offshore team, applied Agile/SCRUM with CI/TDD, and delivered iterative shippable releases. Technically Intetics migrated pages to the Wicket framework, redesigned the UI with AJAX-driven usability improvements, implemented drag‑and‑drop timeline scheduling, simplified permissions, and built an integrated cross‑platform DAM. As a result Flowmation now serves a large number of design and publishing customers, enables more frequent releases and greater productivity, and Silicon Systems continues to outsource additional work to Intetics.
