Leading Provider of Mapping and Navigation Solution Company engaged Intetics to perform large-scale photo and video surveys across European highways to enrich an automotive navigation solution with accurate signs, lane and junction data. The customer’s challenge was assembling an outsourced GIS/field team, procuring and operating specialized equipment, and meeting strict technical requirements for image quality, camera trajectory, geolocation accuracy and data formats.

Intetics built the end-to-end solution — selecting and purchasing equipment (e.g., Sony a7 Alpha Mirrorless cameras and INS+RTK GPS sensors), staffing and training field teams, defining routes and QA processes, processing the view data and delivering it in the required format. Over nine months Intetics covered 75,000 km of highways (270,000 km driven), captured 1.5 million images (20 TB), achieved 93% quality compliance, helped the Client save up to 20% of the allocated budget, increased the Client’s database by 7%, and reduced new-area collection time by 15–17%.
