Cemetery Operator Optimizes Land Management With Maps by Intetics

Regional Cemetery Operator, a regional cemetery operator in France, needed a GIS-enabled Cemetery Management Software to replace outdated paper maps and enable map-based search, sales and interment record keeping. They supplied UAV imagery but strict French drone rules produced manually flown, irregular and sometimes non‑geotagged photos that made producing the required sub-decimeter–accuracy maps difficult. The customer engaged Intetics and used Intetics’ cloud UAV data service to transmit source files and support processing the raw imagery.

Intetics processed and quality‑checked the UAV photos to generate a Digital Elevation Model and an orthomosaic, then vectorized and digitized roads, buildings and burial plots to produce an up‑to‑date cemetery plan and topographical base for parcel boundaries. Intetics uploaded all map layers and metadata into the client’s database so staff can maintain them without specialized GIS skills, delivering cost‑efficient, highly accurate maps that became the foundation for the new CMS and reduced the risk of record‑keeping errors.
