Baer Supply Company, which manages catalogs and inventories of over 50,000 SKUs across many product lines, needed a PDA-enabled inventory management system with barcode capability to speed and improve accuracy of data collection, ordering and re-ordering. After evaluating vendors, Baer Supply Company selected Intetics to develop the "Shop Supplies on Time" PDA/desktop solution (Palm OS handheld app plus a desktop converter/transfers system) to meet those requirements.

Intetics implemented a three-tier Shop Supplies on Time system that included a desktop application to convert and transfer data to/from Palm OS PDB files and a PDA Palm OS 4 application for barcode-driven review and editing. The Intetics solution enabled support for multiple locations with unique shelf configurations, faster and more accurate handheld data capture and upload, and automated re-ordering and inventory tracking—streamlining maintenance processes and reducing the time, effort and overhead associated with inventory management.
