3D Electric Circuit Emulation Software

Modlin Education, a multimedia education company, needed a 3D electric-circuit emulation system that would let children design and test electronic building-block inventions on-screen before assembling physical sets. To meet strict requirements for cross-platform compatibility (Windows, Mac) and a limited web version, Modlin Education outsourced the project to Intetics, selecting them for their 3D application expertise.

Intetics implemented the solution using Macromedia Director MX 2004 and Autodesk 3D Studio Max, producing optimized 3D block models, an assembly-and-simulation algorithm, and features such as drag-and-drop, automatic snap orientation, save/load/print, and two operation modes. The delivered software runs on Windows and Mac, is available as a free trial and a paid standalone product, and helps Modlin Education better reach the Mac education market and promote sales by letting potential customers try the system before buying.
